Innovation in Tax Policy Scholarship
The lawyers at Cross Law Group understand the complexities and challenges ingrained in our current tax systems. As society progresses, the role of taxation has never been more important in shaping our economy. As the boundaries of taxation continue to be redefined, the next generation must bring fresh perspectives into the tax realm. Recognizing the need for new viewpoints on modern-day tax challenges, Cross Law Group seeks to award a student $1,000 with this scholarship.
The Innovation in Tax Policy Scholarship wants to award and support a student with creative and inventive ideas for new tax policy. This scholarship encourages individuals to think outside the box and contribute modern solutions to current-day tax challenges. To apply, please submit an essay detailing a new tax proposal and how it can positively impact present tax policy.
Whether proposing changes to income tax structures, new perspectives on estate tax, addressing debt caused by taxation, or any other tax-related issues, we invite you to share your thoughts.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, law school, or another type of postsecondary institution for the Fall of 2024 or Spring 2025 semesters.
- High School seniors who have yet to graduate but will be enrolled in college or another educational institution by the same period are also welcome to apply.
- Applicants must also be legal U.S. residents, living in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
- Individuals employed by Cross Law Group, immediate family members, and those residing in the same households as these individuals, are ineligible for scholarship participation.
- Applicants must be in good academic standing, retaining a GBP of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

This scholarship encourages individuals to think outside the box and contribute modern solutions to current-day tax challenges. To apply, please submit an essay detailing a new tax proposal and how it can positively impact present tax policy.
- Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. Applications will be denied if AI writing is deemed present in the essay.
- The candidate must submit an up-to-date resumé, listing academic and professional experience.
- The candidate must submit an up-to-date transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or those who have recently changed schools have the option to submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, accompanied by the recent official transcript from their previous school. High school applicants must also provide proof of acceptance to their intended college or university.
The recipient of the 2024 Innovation in Tax Policy Scholarship will be chosen during the month following the scholarship deadline.
